United Nations Treaty Collection

(a) United Nations Treaty Series. The treaties are published by year of registration, which is often later than the dates on which they were signed or came into force.

(b) Multilateral Treaties Deposited with the Secretary-General. This gives the current status (signatures, ratifications, reservations etc.) or over 500 treaties, as well as the citation to the current printed version.

Inter-American Commission of Women - specialised organisation of the Organisation of American States.

Foreign Law Guide – A highly regarded research guide, formerly but no longer available in print, written by Thomas H. Reynolds and Arturo A. Flores and available online to Cambridge University users. Click on "conventions and treaties" for a bibliography of sources for a large number of treaties.

Non-Governmental Organisations

Coalition Against Trafficking of Women - "a non-governmental organization that promotes women's human rights by working internationally to combat sexual exploitation in all its forms"

Women for Women's Human Rights - "an independent women's NGO founded in 1993 with the aim of promoting women's human rights on the national, regional and international levels"

Comparative Law Subscription Databases [Access restricted to Cambridge University]

Martindale-Hubbell(R) International Law Digest - contains a summary of statutory law for over 60 countries. Arrangement is by subject topics and subheadings for each jurisdiction. Updated annually to include current enactments of the legislature.

Click on "Sources", then "Browse Sources", choose "International" under "Country", click on "Citators and digests" in the list of categories presented, select "Martindale-Hubbell(R) International Law Digest", and then click "OK - continue". You are presented with a search page by default, but "Browse" can be selected on the left-hand side instead.
