Education CV

Giorgia is a PhD candidate in Law at the University of Cambridge. Her main interests include legal history, comparative law, and property law. Giorgia is currently researching the law of property in the late Middle Ages. In particular, her work focuses on incorporeal rights in land, and how these rights were protected and conceptualised in central royal courts. Her research is funded by the F. W. Maitland Studentship in Legal History.

Before beginning her PhD, Giorgia completed an MPhil in Law at the University of Oxford. Her dissertation explored the reception of the Roman law division between res corporales and res incorporales in medieval legal thought in England and in continental Europe, from a comparative perspective.

She holds a Magister Juris from the University of Oxford, a Laurea Magistrale in Law from the University of Pisa, and a Diploma of Honour from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa).
