Professor Jane Stapleton Interviewed for the Eminent Scholars Archive

The Squire Law Library and the Faculty of Law are pleased to announce that an interview with Professor Jane Stapleton has been added to the Eminent Scholars Archive.

Professor Stapleton is currently the joint Arthur Goodhart Visiting Professor of Legal Science (2011 – 2012) with her husband, Professor Peter Cane. She is currently Research Professor of Law, at the Australian National University College of Law, Ernest E. Smith Professor of Law, University of Texas at Austin School of Law, and Statutory Visiting Professor, University of Oxford Faculty of Law

Professor Stapleton was interviewed on 6th February 2012 in the Squire Law Library. During the interview she discusses her aspirations for research and teaching while at Cambridge, as well as giving insights into her books Disease & the Compensation Debate [OUP 1986] and Product Liability [Butterworth 1994]. She also talks of her early work as a research scientist in Professor Dudley Williams’ group in organic chemistry at the laboratories on Lensfield Road.

This is the fourth in a growing collection of interviews with incumbents of the Goodhart Professorship, previous interviewees being Professor Martti Koskenniemi, Sir Robin Auld and Justice Paul Finn.
