The Squire Law Library and the Faculty of Law are pleased to announce that an entry for Emeritus Professor Cheryl Saunders has been added to the Eminent Scholars Archive.

Professor Saunders was the Arthur Goodhart Visiting Professor of Legal Science for the academic year 2005-06. She was visiting the Faculty to attend the recent 2016 Public Law Conference on 'The Unity of Public Law?', and kindly agreed to be added to the ESA.

Professor Saunders was interviewed on 12th September 2016, in the Squire Law Library.

She was born in Quetta, in what is now Pakistan, but grew up in Melbourne. She did her legal training at Melbourne University School of Law, and is an authority on Australian and comparative public law, including comparative constitutional law and method, intergovernmental relations and constitutional design and change. She is Laureate Professor Emeritus at Melbourne Law School, and their Founding Director for the Centre for Comparative Constitutional Studies.

This is the eleventh in a growing collection of interviews with the Goodhart professors, previous interviewees being Professor Martti Koskenniemi, Sir Robin Auld, Justice Paul Finn, Professor Leslie ZinesProfessor Jane Stapleton, Professor Peter Cane, and Professor Spyridon Flogaitis, Professor Gerald Postema, Professor David Dyzenhaus, and Professor Tony Smith.
