Join us for tours of the Squire Law Library, taking place as part of Open Cambridge 2018.
The Squire Law Library maintains one of the largest legal collections in the UK and is an affiliated library of Cambridge University Library. Tour the unique library space, designed by Foster and Partners, and discover the history of the library from its foundation in 1904 to its current role of underpinning the teaching and research activities of the Faculty of Law.
Tours of the library floors will include a specially curated display of material in the Maitland Legal History Room marking the centenary of the Representation of the Peoples Act (1918). Explore how this development extended the vote to women, and celebrate 100 years of women in law. Ages 14+
