The recall request facility on iDiscover has been switched on this term, giving current staff and student members of the University the option to request books that are on loan. This change has been applied across all University libraries, including the Squire Law Library, and further details can be found here

Please be aware that if you have a book out on loan, and it is requested by someone else, you will receive a due date change notification e-mail. If possible, please return requested books to the Squire Law Library Enquiry Desk between the following times:

  • 09:00-13:00 and 13:45-17:45 (Monday-Friday)
  • 09:00-11:45 (Saturday)

If you are a registered borrower and are returning or collecting requested books only, you do not need to book a visit in advance. If you would like to also use the study spaces, IT facilities or collections please book a visit as normal.

We are aware that some students may be unable to return books at present; for example, if currently away from Cambridge. If you receive a due date change notification and are unable to return the book, please contact squire@law.cam.ac.uk so we can assist. Please be assured that this term, as in previous terms during the pandemic, you won’t be charged fines on any book that you have borrowed. Books that are not requested will continue to renew automatically, until 25 June.
