Cambridge team win International Negotiation CompetitionThe Faculty of Law is pleased to announce its strong performance in the most recent round of UK university league tables. The Faculty continues to be recognised as a top-tier institution for legal education both in the UK and globally, reinforcing its standing as a leader in the field.

In the Complete University Guide 2026, the Faculty of Law secured the top spot, a testament to our commitment to academic excellence. This ranking reflects a comprehensive assessment of student satisfaction, research quality, and graduate prospects, highlighting the Faculty's well-rounded approach to education.

The Times and Sunday Times University Rankings 2026 also recognised the University of Cambridge as the best university for Law in the UK, alongside the previous Times Higher Education 2025 world ranking in top spot (fourth globally). 

Lastly, the Faculty also recently achieved an impressive ranking in the Guardian University Guide 2026, where it placed joint-second for Law.

Whilst these ranking tables are a broad-brush assessment of the educational and research experience available, based on a range of different methodologies, the Faculty feels the consistent recognition of our exceptional performance is a powerful endorsement of the hard work and dedication of our students, academics, and staff. They reflect our collective pursuit of excellence and our commitment to providing a stimulating and supportive environment for the study of law.
